dignitas are through to the Winners' match of Group A at the Game Show Global eSports Cup finals after beating FlipSid3 Tactics 2-0 (16-13 on de_inferno and 16-12 on de_cobblestone). After the nail-biting contest between CLG and EnVyUs, which saw the French side claim a 2-1 victory despite losing the first map, Group A resumed with the match between dignitas, one of the most in-form sides of the moment, and FlipSid3 Tactics. The first half of de_inferno was a complete blowout as FlipSid3 struggled to break dignitas' tight defense, with the Danish team picking up a total of 13 rounds on the CT side. After the break, FlipSid3 got off to a blazing fast start and grinded out several rounds to bring the scoreline to 13-15. Many certainly believed that th Ukrainian team would force an overtime, but dignitas stepped up their game and closed out the map 16-13.
Cobblestone followed the exact same pattern as dignitas cruised to a 13-2 halftime lead after an impressive CT display. The second half began with FlipSid3 stringing nine rounds together to cut the deficit to 12-13, but dignitas did not let their lead slip away and won three rounds in a row to seal a 2-0 victory in a surprisingly difficult match.
